Workflow automation

Workflow automation is the software implementation of specific rules and logic to perform routine activities that humans normally complete manually. While a workflow is a series of steps to complete a process, workflow automation helps tasks move efficiently from step to step between humans. This can take shape in having certain parts of a task completed upon arrival to the next step or ensuring the overall project is routed correctly without human intervention.

Benefits of workflow automation

Workflow automation solutions can be used to serve various roles at all levels of an organization. With automation, individual processes that can be mundane or tedious don’t rely on human intervention — creating time and cost savings. Workflow automation’s desired end-result is a seamless process that reduces errors and maximizes resources.
