Defining IT & technology terms

IT ModOps

IT ModOps is the practice of applying DevOps software development approaches to legacy software application modernization projects. Legacy applications are often supported by multiple developers over many years, making it hard for current teams to refresh them. By applying DevOps practices, an organization can modernize effectively and fast.

IT ModOps also allows teams to provide continuous updates to a legacy application, simplifying business transformation in the process. Similar to DevOps, all developers and internal staff must participate in the process to ensure a stable and reliable application.
