Defining IT & technology terms

DevOps

DevOps is a collective software development approach and methodology that works to deliver products and improvements at a faster and more consistent rate than traditional practices. At its core, DevOps is a culture that breaks down the silos between development and operations to increase collaboration.

To succeed, DevOps requires buy-in and participation from an entire organization, including product management, development, quality assurance, operations and security. DevOps aims to drive highly efficient, stable and reliable products that are supported with regular updates.
