Defining IT & technology terms

Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an artificial intelligence-enabled technology that completes software development and management tasks. RPA is often used for tedious tasks, so human developers can focus on more important and complex tasks.

During its development, an RPA receives training, which is done by recording a human performing the tasks on their computer. The RPA then completes its assigned tasks in a virtualization instance mirroring a workstation.
