Data warehousing

Data warehousing is the process of collecting and integrating business data from multiple sources. This process merges separate information entities into a centralized database, which provides a foundation for a Business Intelligence (BI) system.

Data warehousing can encompass structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. As part of the collection process, information will be extracted, cleaned, transformed and consolidated as needed.

Users can leverage a data warehouse for analysis, querying and reporting. These BI capabilities provide deeper insight into production processes, operational inefficiencies and customer needs.
