With more than 7,400 employees serving a wide variety of clients through our Supply Chain Optimization, Connected Workforce, Cloud + Data Center Transformation and Digital Innovation solution areas, we needed a way to meet employee demands for user-friendly devices and a modern workplace.
Adjusting to unfamiliar devices can be challenging, even for technical people. If done hastily or incorrectly, the process can lead to lost productivity and damaged employee morale. At Insight, we understand these pain points.
By offering Employee Choice programs through Apple at Work we’re able to give our employees the latest tools through seamless compatibility.
Insight’s Connected Workforce and IT teams collaborated to design a solution that met our current goals and future needs. Using Jamf Mobile Device Management (MDM), the process of deployment and inventory became simple. And with Apple Business Manager, we put the power for device setup right in the employees’ hands — while still being able to enforce policy and ensure compliance.
The Employee Choice program allows employees to choose their desired devices with Office for Mac creating a seamless transition for those users relying on the Microsoft Office suite to get work done. Apple devices with pre-configured software and streamlined security enable employees to hit the ground running.
Our Connected Workforce team leverages Insight Managed Mobility for Apple to deploy and manage the devices. And by offering an Employee Choice program, we’re able to give our employees the latest devices from Apple with seamless compatibility.
Through our Insight Managed Mobility program, Insight achieved a near-zero IT touch solution for device deployment in addition to the ability to manage devices remotely, resulting in cost savings. Our hybrid device environment more than doubled, adding twice as many Mac computers into management. We also improved security in two ways, through individual device asset security and policy enforcement.
Now, we’re better able to control inventory and gain valuable insight into device environments.
A leading benefit of this program is that employees get to work with the devices they like best, which boosts productivity and effectiveness. Modern management also reduces strain on IT staff, both in device setup and continued compliance. And device integration is much smoother, increasing flexibility for end-user choice. Best of all, we’re experiencing lower total cost of ownership as a result.
