Insight achieved a Maturity Level 3 for Services and Supplier Management (CMMI-SVC L3), following a comprehensive appraisal performed by Williamsburg Process Solutions LLC. Rated as “Defined,” Level 3 organizations maintain standardized processes across projects, programs, and portfolios. The rating further validates our ability to drive digital transformation for clients through a defined playbook that delivers consistent and quick results.
The appraisal demonstrates Insight’s ability to apply CMMI-SVC principles, the primary benchmark for measuring an organization’s capacity to improve its processes. While applying to all Insight services, it specifically validates the company’s distribution and integration capabilities for public-sector clients, including educational institutions at all levels and local, state, and federal agencies and governments.
For example, IPS helped the town of Morrisville, North Carolina, modernize its communications. Insight rolled out a cloud-based phone system for the municipality as an early step towards its goal of developing into a smart city. Hidalgo County in Texas, meanwhile delivered public Wi-Fi to more than 30,000 students and remote workers in rural areas to narrow the digital divide, using a three-layered network designed and deployed by Insight.
Securing the ISACA appraisal enables IPS to work with a broader client base, since it is a requirement for bidding on certain contracts. To meet Maturity Level 3 standards, Insight had to demonstrate it has processes and training in place to support the 22 practice areas covered within four capability areas:
ISACA is an internationally recognized organization. The CMMI was originally created by the Software Engineering Institute for the U.S. Department of Defense to assess the capabilities of software contractors. ISACA has expanded the model to assess the capabilities of organizations of all types.
