Insight Named a Top Corporate Philanthropist by Phoenix Business Journal

TEMPE, Ariz., Nov. 5, 2018 –  The Phoenix Business Journal has listed Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ:NSIT), the global systems integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, as one of the Valley’s top businesses for philanthropy, in the publication’s 2018 Corporate Philanthropy Awards announced Oct. 25.

Insight was named a finalist in the “Volunteerism” category for large businesses on the annual awards list, which recognizes charitable-giving achievements by Phoenix-area businesses. Insight offers its 5,400 North America teammates 16 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer in their communities. The company also provides several opportunities to get involved, including through Insight’s Noble Cause annual program, where money raised funds technology-driven grants to Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

In addition to volunteer efforts, Insight charitable outreach includes a variety of endeavors under its Reach program: annual in-market giving grants across its largest markets, supporting several non-profits that meet Insight’s charitable giving mission to promote a better future for children through technology; fundraising campaigns for United Way; and support for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Science of Baseball, to name a few.

Hunger, Heart and Harmony are ingrained in our culture; they are values we display at work and in our personal lives,” said Jen Vasin, vice president of human resources, Insight North America. “So it is only fitting that we partner in harmony with a variety of organizations who stand behind our mission. Whether it’s working with disadvantaged youth from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arizona with robotics, providing laptop computers to foster children, or developing a virtual-reality game to take to a local children’s hospital, our teammates are personally invested in showing their hearts in a way that make a real difference in people’s lives.”

With an outwardly focused philanthropic program firmly in place, five years ago Insight also identified a gap in how we support our own teammates in need of help.

“Leading with our Heart core value, we initiated the Insight In It Together Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assists teammates through crises. The funding for the Foundation comes from our teammates, who give generously, and also from Insight, from several of our Board members personally, and from our partners. It is the program I am most passionate about, and the stories that come from the teammates who benefit in this unique way are humbling and heartwarming,” said Vasin.
