Insight’s Supply Chain Optimization solutions simplify the process of procuring, maintaining and replacing the technology clients invest in to run their business.

An international medical billing company aspired to build a backup recovery center in a remote location. The new data center needed to provide essential backup in the event of critical data loss. It would also have to ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) standards.

The billing company had unsuccessfully attempted the data center build with another business in the past. It didn’t want to repeat the same mistake of choosing an unreliable partner. The search began for a provider who could effortlessly handle this ambitious project.

Earned trust

Insight needed to earn the company’s trust the old-fashioned way — one phone call at a time. Over the course of six months, the client ran Insight through a vigorous vetting process to determine our ability to handle timelines, provide price estimates and prove our overall value.

Each time the client called to request a different quote, our team was quick to respond. By providing timely and professional services, tailored to the company’s exacting needs, we assured the client that we had the bandwidth to handle a major project with many moving parts and challenging deadlines.

Our intense focus and perseverance paid off when the company’s president personally called to say we won the client’s current and future business.

What began as a "trial balloon" with uncertain results has turned into a strong, evolving relationship which allows Insight to service the client's every need, large or small.

Beginning the buildout

Insight rose to the challenge by assembling a team of experts, prepared to handle every facet of the client’s backup data recovery site. Leveraging our strong partner relationships, we offered a comprehensive selection of product solutions, including:

Faster recovery

The combined VMware and NetApp solutions dramatically reduced potential recovery time from 24–60 hours to five minutes. This automated solution also allowed the client to migrate 60 to 100 machines at a click of a button.

Now that the buildout is complete, the client has asked Insight to handle all future hardware and software needs, including such detailed items as laptop batteries, headsets and security software. What began as a “trial balloon” with uncertain results has turned into a strong evolving relationship which allows Insight to service the client’s every need, large or small.
