Solution area
Insight’s Digital Innovation solutions help clients incorporate emerging tech into their business operations to improve the end user experience.
When a well-known café and catering chain decided the time was right to move from a physical headquarters model to 100% remote work, it drew upon its long-standing relationship with Insight to get the job done.
The client recognized that eliminating its physical headquarters and removing the need for tape-based data backup would require a cloud solution in place of its existing on-premises datacenter. But it needed help determining which cloud solution best met its needs, as well as assistance with sizing and support to migrate the actual workloads to the cloud. The client knew that Insight offered the expertise and experience to advise and support every step of the migration process.
After discussing the business objectives and the benefits of leveraging Microsoft Azure, the client decided to complete a Cloud Economics Assessment for a better understanding of which workloads could be moved as part of its migration strategy.
Once the Cloud Economics Assessment was complete, Insight performed a custom IaaS jumpstart to set up the landing zone and migrate several production workloads to Azure. Our team also walked the client through the rightsizing process to determine the size and configuration needs for its new Azure-hosted data center. By purchasing Azure through Insight’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program, the client gained the flexibility to only pay for what it uses each month. Furthermore, the scalability and support offered by InsightCloud Care for Azure offers both ongoing technical assistance and billing flexibility to save the client money in the long run.
The client engaged Insight’s Professional Services to support the actual migration of its workloads to the cloud. Today, the client enjoys more flexibility, better redundancy and resiliency, and better operations and automation for net-new workloads that have migrated to Azure.
