President and Chief Executive Officer, Insight Enterprises

“No one’s gonna do that anymore.” Joyce Mullen is talking about the massive, years-long transformation contracts that defined enterprise IT for decades. As CEO of Insight Enterprises since January 2022, she’s proving there’s a better way.
Mullen leads 14,000+ teammates serving 30,000+ clients globally with $8.7 billion in annual revenue (FY 2024). But her real disruption is transforming Insight from traditional reseller into what she calls an “AI-first Solutions Integrator” delivering bite-sized, self-funding projects that produce immediate ROI rather than multi-year promises.
The numbers back her approach. Under Mullen’s leadership, AI assessments quadrupled between Q1 and Q2 2025. And clients are seeing transformative results: The Sherlock Company cut video thumbnail selection from days to seconds using AI agents with help from SADA, an Insight company. Petbarn automated pet care recommendations and appointment booking. A building products distributor now uses AI to dynamically adjust pricing in real-time as tariffs change, paying for itself before the first invoice arrives.
“I am trying to remember the last time I used standard search,” Mullen told TIME (May 2025), describing her daily use of Copilot, Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT. “Maybe for an address?” This hands-on approach — she personally uses AI for everything from customer briefings to staying current on industry developments — shapes Insight’s practical, results-first philosophy.
Before Insight, Mullen ran Dell Technologies’ $50B+ channel business, managing 170,000 partners globally. She could “count on one hand” the partners truly investing across cloud, data, AI, edge, and security.

“We’re freeing people from soul-sucking work,” Mullen explains, citing examples from manual contract reviews to journal entries. “But we’re also building new skills, preparing for teams that will increasingly blend human and AI capabilities.”
