Computer vision: the use of machine learning to analyze, understand and respond to digital images or video. By applying learning algorithms to input from cameras, visual information can be processed and evaluated for patterns, allowing computers to recognize and respond to what they “see.”

The value of visibility is clear.

In a highly visual world, the ability to recognize and respond to everyday challenges in real time is essential. Organizations increasingly recognize the value of computer vision to transform processes, improve efficiency and drive new growth.

Seeing is believing.

As organizations investigate the value and feasibility of implementing computer vision, time-to-ROI is a key consideration. While most (72%) expect to see a return on investment within two to three years, early adopters that have put computer vision into production are more likely to expect ROI within just one year.

Combatting concerns with support

With any new technology there are bound to be challenges or concerns inhibiting early investment. Organizations across industries reported several common obstacles.
